Friday 23 October 2015 Heart Easel Card with 3D flowers

The base card was stamped with a large heart die back to back in order to create the outline shape for cutting. The front of the card was then embellished with various 3D flowers created in a number of different ways to create a bouquet. Pearls added and a pink bow. The sentiment, ‘Congratulations’, acts as a stopper.

Friday 16 October 2015 Kids Birthday card with air dry clay

A mould and air dry clay were used to create the model of the robot which was then painted by my son. This was then added to embossed card with diecuts added.  A Peel off ‘Happy Birthday’ was added to the die cut speech bubble. Card candi added to the corners.

Friday 9 October Commissioned cards for 90th birthdays

Two commissioned cards for 90th birthdays. The blue and pink card had a layer of glitter card on the base of the card overlaid with an intricate diecut. On both cards the ‘90’ was stamped on white card and then diecut. Flowers and butterflies added to give dimension. On the masculine card an embossed cogs and wheels die provided the background with card candi added on the right hand side.

Friday 11 September 2015 Scrapbook Idea

At a recent scrapbook crop, I got a double page spread completed of ‘A year in Review – 2014’. Made 12 tags using the Stampin Up tag punch and mounted the photos on these. The background card was stamped with ink splats before adding 6 tags and die cut stars to each page. Journalling was typed and added to finish.

Friday 4 September 2015 Decopatch Box

Another before and after. A small wooden box purchased from The Works. Botanical decopatch paper applied to create the perfect little memory box for a mini album or ephemera. I have still to add a few die cut and wooden leaves to the lid to add further interest.

Friday 14 August 2015 Girls Party Idea – Brooches

Another idea for kids parties – brooches or hairslides. I am in the process of making up some samples. Some will be with an upcycling theme, using old denims. Kids will be able to take home the brooches and hair clips they make plus materials to make more at home.  Parties can be tailored to suit your needs and in a venue of your choice. I can accommodate a maximum of 8 children in my studio.

Take home a beautiful home decor piece or useful gift, made from rubbish.

Fri 17 July 2015 Gift idea - Calendar, noteblock and notecards in one little folder

A simple gift idea for teachers and others. Begin with a piece of card 285mm x 150mm. Score at 130mm and 150mm. This creates the outer folder. To make the internal pocket, cut a piece of card to measure 75mm x 152mm and score at 12mm and 25mm on three sides. Remove the square at each corner to allow the flaps to fold in and create a pocket. Attach to internal right hand side of folder. Add mini note block and calendar. Using the envelope score board, little envelopes can be made to sit within the pocket, together with matching notecards. A ribbon closure holds everything in place.

Friday 10 July 2015 Stained glass on fabric

Another piece which was completed some time ago with fabric scraps and bias binding tape.

Friday 3 July 2015 Cross stitch sampler

Friday 26 June 2015 Memory Albums/Brag Books

An album supplied by Craftycutting. Eight double ringbound pages which I have just started to decorate and incorporating friendship quotes. A work in progress. I have cut some of the pages apart and added cream card to allow the pages to open to a four page spread. Envelopes and pockets for tags still to be added.  I have decorated the front using a rose made from air dry clay which is sitting on an embossed doily. Such a versatile product. More pictures to follow. A super keepsake which can be made to suit any occasion. For those of you who are daunted by 12x12 scrapbooking, this may be the solution. Workshops are available using this product for community groups or they can be completed as part of the memory album classes. Coming soon are little photo albums with a choice of pink or blue polka dot covers. I see these as being great to welcome new arrivals or celebrate a birthday. I will upload pictures soon.  Each album has a photo aperture on the front cover and can hold a maximum of 24 photos. Size 2.5 x 3 inch. I will have limited stock available of these albums but they will make a nice memory book.

Sat 13 June 2015 Hand Embroidery on a printed background

A variety of hand stitching on a pre printed background. This was purchased as a kit but it is possible that a traced outline diagram of your own house could be transferred to fabric , coloured with fabric paint and over stitched. A truly personal piece of work or a great house warming gift for a friend. Next embroidery workshop is the 19 September 2015
